day 2

sorry about the delay. just caught up with a storm of thoughts...

shar bear has introduced me well and added a really thoughtful contributor in the time that i have been gone. :) thank you shar bear :)

she is right about tups. its like god forgot to put her in the flower era, so she's making up for it in the ipod-laptop-bluetooth-mobliephones-blackberry era, which by the way is what makes her the person she is and we all love this person for her flower loving nature.

welcome home tups..

and shar, what can i say. her caller tune is "the way i are", her favourite band is mcfly and yet she manages to surprise me at all times with her music choice. i think we are alike in the manner of variety of music.

the fact remains, all the three of us like timbaland but we also like beethoven, and everything in between. the music we don't like are those that have failed to have that one unique quality that we look for. that's about it.

thanks shar bear for our inclusion :)

now lets get on with the introductions!

today i shall introduce you to "iron and wine".
this isn't a band's name, he is a solo artist: Samuel Beam.

and he is a beam of good music.
some of his songs have this electronic feel to them. however, he still manages to maintain his soft, soothing voice for his listeners. been around since 2002, but i don't think he is really really famous.
do you know him? most of your answers would be no.

i was attracted to his music after i binged on downloading soundtracks from "grey's anatomy".
one of the songs i am introducing was featured on the show. can't remember which episode, but his music fits the soul of the show's musical choices.

the song is "naked as we came"

"She says "wake up, it's no use pretending"
I'll keep stealing, breathing her.
Birds are leaving over autumn's ending
One of us will die inside these arms
Eyes wide open, naked as we came
One will spread our ashes 'round the yard

She says "If I leave before you, darling
Don't you waste me in the ground"
I lay smiling like our sleeping children
One of us will die inside these arms
Eyes wide open, naked as we came
One will spread our ashes round the yard"

a beautiful song that reminds us that we don't take anything back other than the one thing that is truly ours~our nakedness. the acoustic guitar (which is in most of his songs) is a breath of fresh air.
a continuous reminder of the sounds of a guitar, a must hear song.
you may not like it, might seem too ordinary, but the music is something to remember.

also take a listen to "love and some verses".
if you are in love this is a must hear song. a beautiful mix of sounds and his ever consoling voice makes up for all the butterflies in your heart..

"Love is a dress that you made
long to hide your knees
love to say this to your face,
"I'll love you only"
for your days and excitement,
what will you keep for to wear?
someday drawing you different,
may I be weaved in your hair?

Love and some verses you hear
say what you can't say
love to say this in your ear,
"I'll love you that way"
from your changing contentments,
what will you choose for to share?
someday drawing you different,
may I be weaved in your hair?"

thanku for spending time to read, link up and connect.
we would like to hear your thoughts, so drop us a few comments :)
